REGULAR SUBMISSION FEE EXTENDED TO MARCH 10, 2014 

The LAGFF Programming team extends the regular submission fee to March 10, the final submission deadline.

 

Filmmakers are invited to submit their features, documentaries and shorts for consideration to the 2014 Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF), to be held June 4 - June 8, 2014 in Los Angeles.

 

Eligible films include works by Greek filmmakers and filmmakers of Greek descent worldwide; films about Greece; Greek and Cypriot productions or co-productions; as well as films by emerging US and local filmmakers with a prevalent Greek theme. Films by Greek directors, writers, and producers; films by actors in starring roles; co-directors, co-writers and co-producers are also eligible. Must be credited.

INTERNATIONAL PROJECT DISCOVERY FORUM - CALL FOR ENTRIES
Submission Deadline: March 10, 2014

Project Discovery Forum is a pioneer in the promotion of international independent film development and production in Los Angeles. Its aim is not only to promote and nurture great projects with a European flavor coming out of Greece and the Balkans, but also to encourage a lively exchange of international and American cinema.

We provide a platform on which aspirational, creative and productive collaborations between the two worlds are encouraged and made possible.

YOU SHOULD SUBMIT IF YOU
-Are working on an independent fiction feature film of minimum estimated length of 70 minutes
-Are in any stage of development/ pre-production
-Have a full treatment or full script in place
-Think your project has potential for international interest or co-productions

GREEK FILM AWARDED AT 64th BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL
Athanasios Karanikolas's AT HOME won the Ecumenical Jury Prize at the 64th Berlin Festival, while Yiannis Economides's LITTLE FISH took part in the international competition.
 
 
GEORGE CLOONEY APPEAL FOR THE PARTHENON MARBLES
In a press conference for his film THE MONUMENTS MEN at Berlin Film Festival, prompted by a Greek journalist, George Clooney stated that he believes the Parthenon Marbles must be returned to Greece. For more, click here.
