This annual report for Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School got a rather surprising first "user" - the First Lady! In a lead up to her China trip, Michelle Obama visited Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School. Aside from learning how to write her name in Chinese, she learned how to say hello and good bye, and was shown the recently designed annual report that we had just completed. The report is beautiful and strikingly simple in concept. Chinese silk dragon cloth patterns give it a compelling artistic background. Combining professional photography with student work, unusual fonts and minimal copy makes a stunning effect. Annual reports don't need to be dull and boring!
