... I have been writing most of the day and now the fewer words, the better. This is a photo of Lo II taken a number of years ago and he was sitting by the edge of the arroyo getting the last rays of the day.

Beginning today (the 4th) my friend and neighbor Liz Learmont will have some of her beautiful life mask artistic creations on display at the Sedona Arts Center in Uptown. The exhibit will be in the theater classroom and is open daily from 10A to 5PM. We have a number of pieces that Liz created for us and always on display in our home.

I found a wonderful PDF file about Coober Pedy, opal capital of the world, online today and it can give you a pretty good education on the area, life there, the gem, and the history including a map of the opal mines in the area ... very much worth a read ... http://www.cooberpedy.sa.gov.au/webdata/resources/files/Gems_of_Coober_Pedy.pdf

I'm worded out ... another day of writing tomorrow and putting all the photographs into the article ... about opal ... one in particular ... The Molly Stone!

Have a beautiful day and thanks for all the funny captions that you sent me to associate with the ravens from last night ... Dick, you won!!!

Cheers

Ted

For life holds cheers as well as tears,
Take this old toast from me:
This world a riddle hard you call ...
A mess from which you fain would shrink?
Perhaps 'tis wisdom, all in all.
To learn to laugh as well as think.
