... into the caldera and the showy Lockett Meadows within the San Francisco Peaks. I took this shot Friday morning when Bob and I went up there to check the colors in the meadow out. Atmospheric conditions were such that we had relatively calm air in the caldera and were able to fly at an altitude which enable me to get photos like this one. As you can see there is some room for maneuvering at this altitude but it is nice to have another very skilled pilot on the stick whilst I am taking these shots. We flew up the left side and hung a 45 degree bank and turn over the yellow patch near the upper part of the meadow and back down and around again. Flew it at different altitudes and this one is the shot I liked the best. From the left you have Doyle Peak, Agassiz Peak and Humphreys Peak. Looks like favorable winds in the morning so likely I will be back up there and see what changes three days can make. Starting to regret deciding to go back to the Midwest this week as peak color may occur after I leave ... so I'll fly every morning until I leave and hope for the best. Like why not :+)

The salon on Saturday went very well and thanks to everyone who came. Had to rush the last photos as I had selected too many ... knew it when I did it, but just couldn't delete anymore. Next month on November 1st we'll be doing the last of this series and the topic is the abstract and the unleashed ... that would be me and the things that run and fly through my mind put to work creating images to get a message across ... frequently just celebrating the beauty of life and adding transparency to the earth to remind us of the very temporal and fragile life it is that we have. Forty five images so we'll have two minutes per image. Format will be I present discuss reasons for the image and a few questions from those who attend. Please mark it on the calendar as I think this will be by far the best ... and the most fun.

It has been a very good weekend with very few blips ... a few big ones, but that is just me being cognizant of a huge loss, not financial, as I finished our 2013 taxes ... yep, I am a 10/15 filer. But it is good, the day was beautiful and so many terrific friends and I am here in the now as the journey continues ... life is looking good ... heck, it is good.

Have a beautiful day and share a smile with those whom you meet and greet today ... making the world a better place one person at a time :+)

Cheers

Ted

If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together, there is something you must always remember.

You are braver than you believe,

Stronger than you seem, and

Smarter than you think.

But the important thing is, even if we're apart ... I'll always be with you.
