Announcing the LHSA 2015 Photo Contest!

LHSA invites all interested photographers to help celebrate and enrich our 47 Annual Meeting on October 14-18, 2015 in Washington D.C. The LHSA Photo Contest is an open competition (no restrictions as to subject matter, color or monochrome, type of camera, digital or film) Interested photographers are invited to submit up to two (2) total electronic images in JPEG format to info@lhsa.org

Submissions must be sent via email and shall be accepted no later than 

4:00 pm CST, August 28, 2015.

 

All entries must have been shot in 2015 and shall be the work of the photographer.  All submissions shall remain with LHSA, and the winning images shall be submitted and mounted no smaller than 5 by 5 inches and no larger than 30 inches in either direction.  They may be matted, but not framed.

Images will be judged by Pulitzer Prize Winner, David Turnley. Winners will be notified by e-mail or telephone.

 

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5thplace winners will be notified before the LHSA annual meeting.  Winners will be invited to attend our annual meeting in Washington D.C. at their expense.

 

Contest Rules

  • Up to two (2) images may be submitted in jpeg format compressed no larger than 2 maegabyte and no larger than 10124 pixels in the longest dimension
  • Images may be in Monochrome or Color and must have been shot in 2015
  • Submissions shall be sent via e-mail to info@lhsa.org, attention PHOTO CONTEST 2015 in the subject line
  • Images should be accompanied by electronic Data Sheet that shall include: Each image shall be labeled A and B, if two images are submitted 
    1. Name - address - phone # - e-mail of the entrant
    2. Image data should include a subject name, camera model and lens used
    3. Aperture and shutter speed and ISO if known 
    4. Additional information regarding the image if desired.

LHSA Annual Meeting · October 14-18, 2015 · Washington D.C.

The LHSA Annual Meeting will take place in beautiful Washington D.C. There is so much to do and photograph in this great city. The nation's capital is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country and offers a wide range of attractions and activities. Visit museums, the National Mall, as well our nation's most treasured historic landmarks, parks and neighborhoods.
