New Winding Machines for Producing String Wound Filters
Delta Pure Filtration has just completed its installation and qualification testing of a number of new, advanced filter winding machines for production of string wound filters.

Doreatha Jarvis, Shift Supervisor, sets up one of the new high-tech winding machines at Delta Pure Filtration

Mike Taylor, Delta Pure Filtration Mechanic, completes a successful leak test of a duplex filter assembly. The hot water filter system will be used in a food factory.

Hot Water Filtration

Because of our very economical stainless steel SH and SHJ series of stainless steel single-round housings, and our broad offering of filters, Delta Pure Filtration helps many customers with "hot water" filtration.

It seems that a lot of people are in hot water. We help people with boiler water, equipment cooling water, hot water filtration for HVAC systems, hot tap water in hospitals, hot water in food plants, hot water for restaurants and coffee shops, and hot water to clean equipment...

The One Minute Filtration
Article is a feature of the AFS monthy eNewsletter.  Each month a new short information sheet is produced on filtration and separations.

Activated carbon has long been used to remove chlorine and other impurities from water and other liquids.  Activated carbon is available in various cartridge forms to fit standard industrial housings. An example of the effective use of carbon cartridges is the food processor who produces bagged salads using process water to rinse lettuce and vegetables before packaging

DW Series
New DW Series data sheet
Delta Pure Filtration has updated its DW series string wound filter datasheet to include several new filter media, including EcoWound™ filters, acid-resistant-glass, and heat resistant meta-aramid (the generic chemical equivalent to Dupont's Nomex material) and polyphenylene sulfide (PPS).

We also list additional core types such as glass-filled polypropylene - and additional core diameters, including 1.5" ID cores popular with oilfield service (workover and completion) companies..

The EcoWound™ string wound filter of recycled cotton, polyester and polypropylene is ideal for waste water and produced water, and can also be used for completion brines.  Acid resistant glass is designed to provide improved service life with dilute acids, even at elevated temperatures.  Meta aramid would offer improved life in high temperature air in the 60-100 degree C (140-212 degrees F) range as compared to polypropylene which would oxidize and degrade.  A string wound filter of PPS is great for boiling hot water.

Delta Pure Filtration is always working on bringing our customers the materials they need to effectively and reliably filter even their most difficult fluids.  If you don't see what you need, please ask.

Please Note:  materials should be selected, evaluated and tested on a case-by-case basis.
