TAX PLANNING TIME IS CLOSING IN ON 2015

Tax Calendar
The key to end-of-year tax planning is simple: you have to think about both 2014 and 2015 tax years as you weigh your options.  This is the time to consider if you should accelerate or delay your deductions based on a windfall or shortfall tax year.  Charitable contributions, IRA contributions and other deductions are all considerations.

Read our tips on how to manipulate state and local tax payments to claim a tax deduction in 2014.
HAVE YOU SPENT DOWN YOUR FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT?

It's getting to be that time of the year when pretax monies pulled into a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) must be spent down.

Typically these monies are used for medical, vision and dental expenses not paid for by insurance; usually deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance for the employee's health plan.  See what over the counter items could also be covered in your plan.
CONGRATULATIONS

Desiree May
Desiree May
We'd like to congratulate our bookkeeper, Desiree May on becoming a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor.  In addition to advanced training, in order to become certified, you must pass 4 sections of testing covering different areas of the QuickBooks Online.

What does this means for the businesses we serve? It delivers peace of mind that the staff at Paxton Bookkeeping and Tax Services have taken extra training to ensure we deliver the best in bookkeeping services
in the region.

I hope you find these tax tips helpful.  If you have a topic you would like addressed, drop me a line.

Sincerely,
Lauri
