WVCS next PTO meeting will be the Monday AFTER Thanksgiving break - ("Cyber") Monday, November 30th at 7pm in the church lobby.  Look forward to seeing you all and getting some fresh, new ideas back from break!  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families!

Our annual Holiday Boutique - November 14th from 9am to 1pm in our gym!  We still need LOTS of bake sale items and book donations.  Please bring either donation to the school office.  Prizes given for the classes that have the most visitors to our Holiday Boutique:  1st place prize - Pizza party and cupcakes!  2nd place price - Ice cream party!  Go students!

Box Tops for Education!  Please remember, WVCS collects Box Tops!  PLEASE bring them to the school office.  It's a great way to participate in year-round fundraising and help our school!  We just sent in Box Tops totaling $407.50 for our school!!!!  The final deadline to receive another check by the end of the school year is March 1st.  Please get all Box Tops in by then!  Thank you.

Pancake Breakfast & Polar Express Depot!  Friday, December 4th. Breakfast starts at 7am!  You will be receiving a donation list from your room/grade parent for this event.  It's a great time for families and super fun for kids so let's all do our part to make it happen!  Thanks in advance for your giving!

We're still in need of Ice Cream Friday help!  The kids would miss it terribly if we don't get enough volunteers.  It's 30 minutes one Friday a month to serve our students during the same time you are probably at school already.  Please prayerfully consider serving our kids in this easy and very short time period each month - because they LOVE Ice Cream Fridays!!!!  Thank you.

Earning 4 Learning!  In addition to all the points for turning in your receipts, this season they're doing a toy drive!  Donate a toy to collect 500 additional points for WVCS!
Stuff-A-Bus Annual Spark of Love Toy Drive: Friday, December 11, 6am -6:30pm Corner of Victory & Topanga Canyon. Earn 500 points for each new, unwrapped toy.
Visit shoppingpartnership.com/topanga for information about how to get credit for your toy donation by submitting a photo of the donation by December 31, 2015.
Please consider a donation - it helps families in need and a bonus 500 points for our kids!  Thank you for your generosity this holiday season!

Class Highlight of the Week
Cooperation Soars in 1st Grade!
A big skill we have learned is how to work together in groups. We have worked on communication and group building skills to help us achieve classroom harmony.  During one of these skill builders a wise young student stated what his teammates learned;" You can have the best materials, but if you don't communicate you can't build anything!" What wise 1st graders.  We worked together to make our Science projects listening to each other, creating together and along the way starting some new friendships! So great job First Grade keep up the good work!

Drama News from Mrs. Lampechkun!
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas Production!

Dear Families,

We are preparing for our fabulous Grinch Christmas show which will be on December 10th at 7:00p.m.
Along with after school drama students, the 3rd-5th grade classes are also in the show.

Please put together a "Whoville Character" costume for your child.  Go online to get ideas.

We do practice for this show during the day in Theater Arts class.  If possible, I would like the 3rd-5th grade classes to come to one after school rehearsal on Monday, December 7th from 3:30-6:00.  I understand if you can't or can't stay the entire time.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
