PTO

The next PTO meeting is on Monday, September 28th at 7pm in the church lobby. We'd love to have your input and participation! Please come join us! We'll be discussing our annual Holiday Boutique, among other fun stuff!

Our next restaurant fundraiser is this Friday, September 11th starting at 3pm at Chuck E Cheese in Fallbrook Center! Please don't forget to come and participate in raising money for your student's school/classroom! Your PTO thanks YOU!

See's Candy!!! Who doesn't LOVE See's Candy! Be on the lookout for our first See's Candy (holiday) Fundraiser. Your packets of information, order forms and catalogs will be coming soon! Great gift purchases or a fabulous treat for at home!

Daily Snack Cart - from 3pm-3:30pm. Drinks and snacks for sale - ranging from $.50 to $2.00. Healthy snacks are always available as well!

As always, Friday's Fun Food!!! Ice Cream, special treats and drinks!!! After school next to car line! Yum! Parents, ice cream is $1.00 - don't forget to send it with your student! It's still hot out there - nice for them to enjoy a treat while waiting in car line.

Special Announcement

Congratulations West Valley Christian School for being granted a six year accreditation term by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We have not received a six year term in over 12 years! This is the highest accreditation term offered by WASC. Stanford, UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, and Pepperdine University are a few names that come to mind when you think about prestigious, highly academic and accomplished universities. Of all the colleges and universities in the Western Region, only 161 have met high standards of quality and effectiveness to become accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). It is one of six regional accrediting associations in the United States that accredits prestigious colleges and universities named above, as well as junior colleges, and K-12 schools. WVCS is honored to have received accreditation by WASC.

Many brands of paper towels claim that they are the strongest. The 8th-grade students conducted an experiment following the steps of the Scientific Method to determine which brand of paper towel has the greatest wet strength (Brawny, Bounty or the store brand). During the analysis of their data, students also considered the price per sheet for each brand to evaluate which brand is truly the best and most

cost-effective towel.

ASB Invites you...

Movie Night is open to all WVCS Middle School students. The 5th Grade class is invited to join us for the fun night! See you there!

Don't forget...

PTO Fundraiser at Chuck E. Cheese in Fallbrook Center on Friday! It's a great time to mingle with the WVCS families and help out the PTO!

CARLINE REMINDERS: Student drop-off can begin at 7am, but students need to go to daycare before 7:30am. Carline opens for middle school at 3pm, and students will be taken to daycare at 3:30pm. If students are on campus after-school they either need to be with their coach/director or in daycare.

Grinch Auditions!

Auditions for Grades 4-8 for the Christmas production of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" are being held on Monday, September 14th, 3:30-5:00pm in the Worship Center. Any questions, please contact Mrs. Lampechkun.

Falcon Sports Update

Our fall sports practices have started! Look for the schedules to be posted soon. Please make sure to get your physical completed before the first game or scheduled as soon as possible. Thanks

Tribe competition returns!

Beach Day games have a 3-way tie for first place: RED DRAGONS , GREEN GECKOS, and GOLDEN GORILLAS! The PURPLE PUMAS are not far behind! Look for more tribe games coming soon!

Chapel Update

We had another awesome time of musical worship with Mrs. Montgomery. Thank you to Mr. Fowler for continuing this month's chapel series theme on sacrifice! A big shout-out of thanks to all of our parents who sacrifice so much to make our daily lives happen!

Parents are always welcome to attend middle school chapel on Wednesdays, 10:05am-10:50am.
