Our next PTO meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 28th at 7pm in the church lobby. We'd love to have your input and participation!

Our first restaurant fundraiser was Wednesday, August 26th at Hook Burger in Woodland Hills! Because of the awesome WVCS participation, we raised $225.87!!!! Thanks for your help in making our first restaurant fundraiser a huge success! Our next one is scheduled for next Friday, September 11th starting at 3pm at Chuck E Cheese in Fallbrook Center! 

Our first Family Game Night was Friday, August 28th. We had over 70 participants. A good, fun time was had by all! Thanks for coming and enjoying your families with us!

Daily Snack Cart - from 3pm-3:30pm. Drinks and snacks for sale - ranging from $.50 to $2.00. Healthy snacks are available too!

As always, Friday's Fun Food!!! Ice Cream, special treats and drinks!!! After school next to car line! Yum! Parents, ice cream is $1.00 - don't forget to send it with your student! It's still hot out there - nice for them to enjoy a treat while waiting in car line.
Special Annoucement
Congratulations West Valley Christian School for being granted a six year accreditation term by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).  We have not received a six year term in over 12 years!  This is the highest accreditation term offered by WASC.   Stanford, UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, and Pepperdine University are a few names that come to mind when you think about prestigious, highly academic and accomplished universities.  Of all the colleges and universities in the Western Region, only 161 have met high standards of quality and effectiveness to become accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). It is one of six regional  accrediting associations in the United States that accredits prestigious   colleges and universities named above, as well as junior colleges, and K-12 schools.  WVCS is honored to have received accreditation by WASC.

Thank you to all the families that joined us at Back-to-school Night! Parents remember that RenWeb is your best friend and the greatest tool you have to help your student be successful in middle school! Be sure to check out what each of the teachers have posted in the lesson plans, homework, and documents sections of their classes. 

CARLINE REMINDERS: Student drop-off can begin at 7am, but students need to go to daycare before 7:30am. Carline opens for middle school at 3pm, and students will be taken to daycare at 3:30pm. If students are on campus after-school they either need to be with their coach/director or in daycare. 
Falcon Sports Update
Our fall sports try-outs will be this week on Tuesday, September 8th at 3:15-5:00pm. The middle school boys will be playing flag-football and meeting out on the grass with Mr. Hopkins. The middle school girls willsbe playing basketball and meeting in the gym with Miss Whitis. Please make sure to get your physical completed before the first game or scheduled as soon as possible. Tribe competition returns!
Beach Day games have a 3-day tie for first place: RED DRAGONS , GREEN GECKOS, and GOLDEN GORILLAS! The PURPLE PUMAS are not far behind! Look for more tribe games coming soon! 
Chapel Update
Thank you to WVCC Underground Intern Rick Smith for opening up this month's chapel series theme on sacrifice! We are praying for you as you head to your new internship in Las Vegas! 

Parents are always welcome to attend middle school chapel on Wednesdays, 10:05am-10:50am.
