Trip Report
Curt had a recent steelhead trip during the deep freeze in our neck of the woods. He decided to head to one of the glacial rivers since they run clean when it is sunny and cold.
The day started with a beautiful sunrise and shortly after Jack landed this chrome wild steelhead. No other steelhead were hooked but a couple chunky bull trout were landed. Kudos for Curt, Chris, and Jack for getting on the water while most of us looked at the temperature and decided to stay inside with a warm cup of coffee and tie flies. |

Staying Warm
The past couple weeks have been colder than normal and we do not normally see shelf ice on the Sol Duc during the winter.
We swear by Woolpower socks and long underwear for staying warm during the winter steelhead season, and these products shined during the past few weeks.
