Holiday Extravaganza
This weekend, November 9th and 10th, we are taking part in a citywide gift certificate promotion as well as having everything in the store on sale between 10-50% off.
The gift certificate promotion is being put on by the Port Angeles Downtown Association designed to attract shoppers to our local businesses. Each store is donating a $100 Gift Certificate to be put in one large pot. Every store will select one customer chosen during the two day promotion and one lucky local shopper will win all of the gift certificates. If 50 stores participate that adds up to $5000 in gift certificates. A pretty good deal and very good odds.
To sweeten the pot we are also having a storewide sale. Everything in the store on November 9th and 10th will be 10% - 50% off. For instance, boats are 10% off which includes Watermasters. All hooks and fly tying items are at least 20% off. There are similar offers on rods, fly lines, waders, etc., etc. We have our normal, everyday promos at the shop too, but everything is on sale on November 9th and 10th.
The special gift certificate giveaway is for in-store, Port Angeles shoppers only but for our out of town and/or internet customers we do not want to leave you completely out. Recent Trip
Curt just returned from his late-fall trip to Montana. He drove to Livingston to visit a good friend and do some streamer fishing on the Yellowstone River. Despite the calendar saying it was late October, the weather was more summer-like then fall. High temperatures were in the 60's and not a cloud in the sky most of the week. This did not help the streamer bite but made for some really comfortable days on the river.
They fished different stretches from Upper Paradise Valley down to the Big Timber area. Although fishing was a little tough, they still managed to land some beauties. The scenery was spectacular and they even saw a moose getting a drink on a hot afternoon.
It's always nice to get away and fish something different. Now it's time to get geared up for winter steelhead.
