Greetings!
Alright, so the darn Groundhog earned his pay this year. Not only did Phil get it right, but he earned extra bonus credit for the extra pounding of snow and Polar Shift frigid temps we had to deal with.
Now, we are halfway through a Maddening March. That means basketball for some, but for us it's a reference to the great Spencer Tracy movie; we know that we are gonna get slammed with a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Rush when Spring hits. Seriously, we think that Spring is going to hit us like a ton of bricks. Are you ready?
We are! We've quoted and sold Pergolas, and we are ready for more. We are days away from the arrival of our biggest millstone score EVER. It's going to take a week or so just to unload and sort them.
Plus, as always, the sawmill has been as busy as it can, given the Polar Shift. Call if you need some reclaimed Flooring, or other custom milled timbers. We are ready. Are You?

This spot usually features our "species of the month," but
our fresh acquisition of millstones & troughs deserves the headlines this month.
In the coming days, we'll be unloading our biggest hoard ever of unique granite millstones & stone farm troughs.
If you saw us at the New England Grows Show, you are going to be especially pleased. These stones are going to make any landscape project be the talk of the town. We have a wide variety of sizes (& prices), but the best stones will always sell first.

Project of the Month: Boston Flower Show

Our friends at Samantha's Gardens commissioned a custom Doug Fir Pergola for their entry in the Boston Flower Show. They had an expanded display this year, and our pergola was front and center. We had the opportunity to take a visit, and actually had trouble getting a clean shot of the display; there was almost always someone trying to snap a shot for their own photo album.
The crew at Samantha's did an amazing job. They took a genuinely masculine pergola and added a Flower Show Flair to it. There were flowing lines, custom iron brackets, low voltage lighting, and plenty of flora & fauna abound. Not to mention the bed! Yes, that's a bed gracefully hanging from the sawn timbers atop the structure.
If you missed the Flower Show, The pergola will be on display soon at The Chestnut Hill Mall in Newton for about a month.
