Recently, OCWA Northern Regional Manager Gord Williams skipped his curling rink from the Port Arthur Curling Club in Thunder Bay to the Northern Ontario Masters Championships held in Atikokan from February 27th to March 2nd. Gord's rink won the championship with an undefeated record of 5-0! Read more

OCWA at WEAO
On April 7 and 8 OCWA was happy to exhibit and present a number of papers during the conference. OCWA's Renee Hornick presented a paper on: Lucan Wastewater Treatment Plant Capacity Re-Rating - Lessons Learned alongside Olav Natvik and Gary Deonarine of Stantec Consulting Ltd. and Adam Sobanski, Township of Lucan-Biddulph.
Cindy Spencer of OCWA also presented on the Replacement of Legacy Process Data Collection System (PDC) at Ontario Clean Water Agency.
On the final day of the conference, Lucyna Mroczek, from OCWA and Vlad Petran, from the Region of Peel presented on Energy Savings at South Peel WWTPs.

Kim Anderson, an operator at the Lake Huron Water Supply System located at Grand Bend, recently returned home after three weeks of volunteering her time and effort in the Philippines through GlobalMedic. GlobalMedic is a Canadian charity that provides emergency relief and clean drinking water for those around the world affected by natural disaster.
On behalf of all OCWA staff and GlobalMedic supporters, we thank Kim for her efforts and offer our sincerest appreciation for helping make a difference to those in need.
