ALL at CBMM eNews | January 2015
Happy New Year 2015 by light

Greetings!

Each holiday season, we challenge the darkness of the winter solstice with light and joy. We light up our towns, homes, trees, and ideally, each others' lives.

To help light up your winter days after the holidays, ALL is launching a new session of classes, events, and presentations. In this eNews, we give you a special preview of the 2015 Winter Semester  programs.  You'll receive your printed catalog, which includes full course descriptions, in about a week. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy considering these engaging opportunities. This semester's courses include topics as diverse as national security, Lawrence of Arabia and Gertrude Bell, canasta, landscaping, info for grandparents on ADHD, art of the Southwest, three "Meet the Author" presentations, and much more.

Help us kick off the Winter Semester. Please join us at our Winter Social and Annual Business Meeting on Thursday, January 15, 4-6pm  at the Steamship Gallery, CBMM to see old friends, make new connections, and have some sips and nibbles. Bring some friends who might be interested in joining. Last fall, a number of people came to the social out of curiosity and joined ALL on the spot!

2015 promises to be a great year for ALL at CBMM, a year full of new courses, leaders, events, and members. 2015 also marks the 50th anniversary of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum! You'll notice that we've updated our eNews header to recognize that important milestone and our partnership with CBMM. In this issue, we have information on a special rate of $6 for ALL members for CBMM's "Shipwrecked!" Lecture Series in February.

To help keep ALL vital and relevant in the new year, we ask for your feedback. Please let us know what you've liked, what you want, and what areas could use some improvement. As always, we also welcome photographs, class reports, member information, and other information that can help us keep our eNews content and website fresh.

Thank you to all who helped make 2014 a stellar year for ALL at CBMM: our course leaders, facilitators, board and committee members, program participants, and our partners at CBMM.

We wish you all a new year filled with peace, joy, and light.

Cheers!
