EIA Weekly Data: For the latest week of 19-Feb-16, ethanol production was 15.28 billion gallons annualized, up 292 mil gals from the previous week--and with a weekly residual error of 1.234 bil gals. Refiner input was 13.558 bil gals annualized, up 61 mil gals from last week, and the calculated inclusion rate for the 135.612 bil gals of mogas receiving ethanol was 10%. Page 2 has the 2016 year-to-date average share of U.S. refiner and blender net input of fuel ethanol to total motor gasoline product supplied at 9.51%, down slightly from the 2015 average of 9.59%, and 2014 of 9.67%. Ethanol has yet to lose any significant market share as an oxygenate blending component because refiners and blenders are required by the RFS2 to blend 10.1% Renewable fuel in 2016, of which most will be ethanol. In 2014 & 2015, refiners and blenders used more ethanol than the RFS2 Renewable fuel percentage standards of 9.19% & 9.52%, respectively required.
