Ethanol Update: Production Up, Refiner Input Up, Stocks Down

EIA Weekly Data: For the latest week of 25-Dec-15, ethanol production was 15.207 billion gallons annualized, up 291 mil gals from the previous week--and with a weekly residual error of 826 mil gals. Refiner input was 13.904 bil gals annualized, up 414 mil gals from last week, and the calculated inclusion rate for the 139.411 bil gals of mogas receiving ethanol was 9.97%. About 96.8% of all mogas (with 144.025 bil gals annualized) did indeed receive ethanol. Ethanol stocks were down 9 mil gals to 847 mil gals.
 
Page 2 has the 2015 year-to-date annualized average supply (stocks + imports + domestic production) of ethanol at 15.663 bil gals, of which 14.012 bil gals are likely to be used domestically.
 
Page 3 has OPIS's last Thursday 2015 D6 & D4 RIN prices falling two cents & one cent from the previous week. Yesterday's 2015 D6 RINs traded around 70 cents, with D5's & D4's around 71 cents, narrowing the D5/D6 spread to slightly over a cent.
 
Page 4 has JSA's last Thursday Nebraska Group 3 ethanol margins falling 1.4 cents from the previous week to 26.9 cents.
