Savor the Fruits of St. Maarten
In its drive to increase awareness of St. Maarten's culture, heritage, and wildlife, the Summit Hotel is proud to join forces with local organization Les Fruits de Mer.
Les Fruits de Mer is dedicated to raising awareness of the ecology, culture, and sport of the island through discovery, inspiration, and education. One of the organization's founding members, Mark Yokoyama, has written a book called "The Incomplete Guide to the Wildlife of Saint Martin," which is filled with beautiful color photos and vivid descriptions of the wildlife of St. Maarten. Copies are available for sale at the hotel.
We look forward to a fruitful working relationship with Les Fruits de Mer. To find out more about the organization, we encourage you to visit their website.

A Taste That's Sure to Delight!
One of the questions we hear most often from guests of the Summit Resort Hotel is, "Where can we find real local food, drinks, and entertainment?"
For a taste of what our beautiful island has to offer, we proudly present Ms. Arrindell, a social worker by day who turns into a rum connoisseur when night falls. Amy has won several awards for her Guavaberry and lime liquor, which is made from locally grown fruits.
Warning: one sip of this delicious concoction will make you fall helplessly in love. But don't forget to try some of Amy's other drinks, made with such heavenly local fruits as Gooseberry, Passionfruit, Golden Apple, Starfruit, and Suriname cashew.
The next time you're staying at the Summit Resort Hotel, stop by the restaurant Tropical Heaven NV to sample and purchase Amy's various liquors. Taste for yourself how delicious St. Maarten can be!
