Celebrates the Arrival of Tūranor PlanetSolar
The capital town of Marigot on the French side of St. Martin was recently visited by the largest solar-powered boat in the world. The boat, PlanetSolar, sailed from Las Palmas, Spain, across the Atlantic Ocean at an average speed of 5.3 knots. Having already achieved a record for a solar-powered transatlantic crossing, PlanetSolar shaved 4 days off its first record, creating a new record of 22 days, 12 hours and 32 minutes.
PlanetSolar was received with a warm welcome by the management and staff of Fort Louis Marina and the St. Martin Tourism Office.

We are proud to recognize Mr. Marcelin Reiph, (affectionately known as "Poochie") for his contributions and especially his happy personality.
 Poochie provides services in our Grounds and Gardening Department. Dependable, reliable and willing, Poochie is never too busy to give a helping hand, even when working diligently at his gardening duties. He loves to tell jokes and keeps everyone laughing.
