2014 AMF AnnouncedWe're proud to announce that 2014's Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF) for the Summit is US $615 per week owned, still one of St. Maarten's lowest AMFs.
For those who like to bank their weeks with RCI, you know that doing so requires your 2014 AMF be paid first. Please log onto the Summit website and select "Pay Member Fees" at the bottom of the home page to take care of this.

Dear Valued Guest of the Summit Resort Hotel,
A day in the life of St. Maarten: Stunning places and faces. Because of St. Maarten's mild climate, it is a favorite year-round destination. Visitors can escape cold winter weather and come to the warmth of St. Maarten, or even trade a hot and humid summer for the balmy breezes of our beautiful island.
Plan now for a fabulous vacation in St. Maarten with our Summer Special at the Summit! See below for details!

St. Maarten: We've Got it All!
St. Maarten is the ideal destination for an unforgettable holiday with its varied landscapes, rare species and pristine environment. The island offers stunning vistas, rocky shores, beaches, mangroves and ponds, and visitors can observe seabirds, iguanas, raccoons, mongoose, turtles and much more in their natural environment. The National Nature Reserve on the northeast side of the island offers hiking trails and underwater paths for snorkelers and scuba divers. And at the Butterfly Farm, you can kayak through the mangrove on the lagoon, take a boat trip on a catamaran to a nearby island, or bike to some of the remotest and most untouched areas of the island. There's lots to do in St. Maarten!

A New Way Across the Bay
Until mid-April of this year, the only way to get across Simpson Bay Lagoon was over the Simpson Bay Bridge. It is used to access Simpson Bay, the airport, and Cole Bay. However, because St. Maarten is a top yachting destination in the Caribbean, the Simpson Bay Bridge is often open for two hours to allow passage for seafaring vessels. This resulted in traffic snarls, long wait times, or rerouting through the French side of the island. However, on April 19, the New Simpson Bay Lagoon Causeway Swing Bridge was lowered into place amid happy shouts from onlookers. It has two car lanes, bicycle lanes and foot paths, and will aid significantly in traffic flow, especially during the hours when the Simpson Bay Bridge is open. Now that's a reason for celebration! |

The invitation-only event brings together multi-cultural, business-savvy women with a passion for professional growth and personal development. The Summit has attracted some glittering keynote speakers including Soledad O'Brien, CNN news anchor; Carmen Wong Ulrich, financial contributor to CBS This Morning; and Iyanla Vanzant, OWN Network life coach, among others. St. Maarten isn't just a vacation destination-it's a place where influential people meet and great things happen. |
