Home Run
The movie Home Run is now available on DVD. This movie is distributed by the same group that released Courageous, Fireproof, and Facing the Giants. I strongly recommend it.

The movie shows a professional baseball player battling alcoholism. His team forces him into a 12-step program called Celebrate Recovery. At his first meeting, he hears others talking about their struggles with pornography and sexuality and thinks he is in the wrong place.

He learns that "Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory."

My wife and I participate in Celebrate Recovery. We strongly recommend it.

New York Yankee pitcher Mariano Rivera is a 12-time All-Star and five-time World Series champion. The Yankees retired his Rivera's number in a very exclusive honor last weekend. Rivera strongly recommends the movie.

"HOME RUN depicts that even though most adult problems come from unresolved childhood issues, through a relationship with Jesus Christ we can break generational curses and establish a legacy of God's love and live a victorious life!"

Rivera's words call to mind a recurring theme in Eric Notes this year: generational decision making. (See Eric Notes "Generational Decision Making" and "Helping the Hungry.")

Choices we make about sex can affect not just our own life but the lives of our children and grandchildren. Choices our parents and grandparents made about sex affect our own life.

Exodus 20:5-6: "I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments."

Based on your decisions, which will your children receive?

Movie Presentation for Schools & Churches

Imagine three 14-foot screens side by side showing a movie  displayed by three projectors connected to a computer. This format takes the message of healthy sexuality into the media world of our teens.

Look Before You Leap is a 37-minute movie that compares sky diving with choices about sex. Sky diving can be an amazing and thrilling experience. It can also be deadly. Proper training and preparation make the difference. Sex is the same way. Good choices can make it amazing and thrilling. A bad choice can bring emotional pain, teen pregnancy, STDs, or worse.

This movie is suitable for public schools but Christian schools or churches will also appreciate its message.

If you are interested in having Eric show the movie Look Before You Leap at your school, church, or other event, call 972-342-0753 or email eric@ultimateescape.org.
