To All Rotarians and families,
We have now entered the final quarter of the Rotary year and it is great to see the level of activity continues unabated.
However, during the final 12 weeks of the year, can I again remind everybody of the importance of Membership.
A recent article in the "Rotary On The Move" newsletter espouses:
"In reality, the only true measure of a successful Rotary Club is whether or not it attracts and retains members i.e creates Rotarians.
It matters not how many service projects a club implements, how much it participates in, and supports the Rotary Foundation, how many leaders it develops, or the diversity of its membership, as long as the club attracts and retains people qualified to be Rotarians.
Then and only then can clubs go about advancing the Objects of Rotary."
I encourage all to continue your efforts to increase your club's membership base.

District 9810 Recognitions.
I would like to include a reminder to all clubs that they are invited to submit applications to be recognised in District 9810 in 2013-2014 in the areas of:
- Club Building
- Club Projects
- Club PR and Communications.
Full details are listed on the District Website and applications need to be submitted to the District Governor no later than the 15th May 2014.

RI Convention
Sydney 2014
It would be great if fellow Rotarians from D9810 attending the Convention in Sydney could meet so we all know who has made it. We can then arrange to catch up for a coffee or lunch or whatever or just say 'Hi". The best opportunity will be between the two Opening Plenary Sessions on Sunday 1st June - between 2pm and 4pm, at the nearest eating / sitting area to the "Interplast" Stand - Stand #196 in the "Billabong House of Friendship". (You will probably only find out whether you are in 1st Opening or 2nd Opening Ceremony sessions at Registration) Look forward to seeing you at Sydney Olympic Park in June.
