EAGLE-Net Appoints Interim-President

EAGLE-Net Alliance (EAGLE-Net) is privileged to announce the appointment of executive telecommunications expert Michael Ryan as Interim-President of EAGLE-Net, effective January 14, 2013. As the Interim-President, Mr. Ryan will replace Dr. Randy Zila, who in November informed the board that due to family health issues he would be stepping down at the end of 2012.

Mr. Ryan is a 20-year telecommunications industry veteran and possesses more than 16 years of executive telecom experience. He spent 12 years at Level 3 Communications holding several senior executive positions. His responsibilities included network construction, dark fiber project management and sales engineering, sales leadership, metro operations and maintenance, network development and business processes.  Most recently, he served as Vice President of Deployment and Capital Management at Open Range Communications in 2010-11.

"I am excited to join the EAGLE-Net team. I believe in EAGLE-Net's goal and want to help lead them to a successful completion of Colorado's statewide middle mile broadband network, and then beyond that continue to expand, and improve the network as a vibrant and viable contributor to Colorado's future," said Mr. Ryan.

"Mr. Ryan has the talent and leadership skill set to guide EAGLE-Net and I speak for the entire board when I say we are confident that he will be successful," said John Conley, Chair of the Board of Directors.
