October 18, 2012  Hello Folks, Its Fall!! I know the weather has us all confused, but it is indeed Fall. I have always loved this season. I think of it as a mini "new year" ( that comes from having gone to school for so long!). There is something fresh and new about Fall. When I lived on the East Coast the changing of the leaves would be a reminder for me that they preceded a new season and a new beginning. I am excited about all the newness I see around both campuses of Shepherd of the Hills. We had our first session of the new Financial Peace University class last night (you can still sign up). Next week our new mid-week Connect program launches. I look forward to seeing how God will use our new classes to change lives of those in our church community and those not yet part of the community. Along the topic of newness--this week we begin the Pneuma worship series. Pneuma is the Greek word for spirit or breath. During this series we will look at the character and work of the Holy Spirit. For the next two weeks both Craig and I will be sharing the same sermon at both sites. I am beginning with the RSM campus sharing about how the Holy Spirit works in a communal way. Pastor Craig will share this week at the MV campus about how the Spirit works on an individual basis. Next week we will switch and share with the other site.
