October 11, 2012  Hi Friends, What a blessing it has been to be back in community with Shepherd of the Hills folks. The pilgrimage was wonderful and full of great history. I loved seeing the scriptures come alive. For all of us it was a great trip, but we missed our Shepherd community. It has been great to be back together as a pastoral team as well. We have spent the week planning for a fantastic fall and upcoming year. I am very excited about the launch of Connect. I am looking forward to beginning the Financial Peace class, and I hope that you will consider taking it. I have heard from so many friends that it changed their lives. Come check out the preview class next Wednesday and see what it is all about! This week we are concluding the series Hello My Name is Jesus. We have been spending this series digging into what grace is. This Sunday we are going to talk about the ways in which we encounter grace through the sacraments of the church. Sometimes when we think about the Lord's supper we forget the awe and mystery that surround this sacred meal. This week at both campuses we will be sharing about how God is present and grace-filled as we partake in this traditional meal. This should be a great week together...see you Sunday! 'Trunk or Treat'
