October 4, 2012  Hello Friends, It is great to be back and amongst all of you. I think I speak for everyone who went on the pilgrimage when I say that it was a life altering experience. I know it will take weeks to process all that we saw and heard. It was a jam-packed couple of weeks. Walking in the footsteps of both St. John and St. Paul is both humbling and inspiring. I am looking forward to sharing the experience with the community at large. This is the fourth week in our series "Hello My Name Is Jesus" from the gospel of Luke about God's grace, and how we come to know Christ. This week Pastor Craig and I both share about the internal struggles that are obstacles to our understanding and fully embracing grace. 7 Grace Disciplines class at RSM

Join Pastor Craig for seven Tuesday evenings as we explore exactly how to practice the Seven Grace Disciplines of Shepherd of the Hills. Each week's session will be a hands-on workshop to start implementing the practices of Celebration, Devotion, Development, Tithing, Sharing, Serving & Sabbath. Grummage Sale this weekend

The annual Grummage Sale begins tomorrow at 4:00, and it's going to be huge! There's something for everybody--clothing, children's toys, electronics, jewelry, tools, sports equipment, kitchen items, office supplies, holiday items, and much more. Proceeds support the General Fund for the church.

Glean for Second Harvest October 18
We will glean a field on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 3:15 to 4:30 pm in Irvine. Food goes to Second Harvest Food Bank in Orange County for families in need. We'll meet at the MV campus at 2:45 to caravan to the field. Parents, kids and youth are invited.
