Here is the latest news and opportunities from Christ Crossman:

This Sunday, the children's program will be assembling Power Packs. The Power Pack program is organized by Food for Others, a local food bank, to help feed area children who receive most meals through school breakfast/lunch programs on weekdays, but who have little food, or food with minimal nutritional value on weekends. The CCUMC Kid's Ministry will be assembling Ziploc bags (Power Packs) of kid-friendly but healthy breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners to tide hungry kids through the weekend. With your generosity, Christ Crossman assembled 70 Power Packs, ornearly 200 pounds of food in March.

Want to donate, but not sure what is needed? Here are some suggestions: single serving meal donations, such as single serving boxes of cereal, instant oatmeal, chili cups, mac and cheese cups (Velveeta or Kraft), tuna or chicken salad kits (Bumble Bee), cheese and cracker packs, or Chef Boyardee ravioli, spaghetti and meat balls. Shelf stable milk (Horizon or Yohoo brands) and 100% juice boxes are also great additions. Your donations would be very much appreciated!

If you would like to donate, please bring your items to the Prior Room before service this Sunday. The Packs will be assembled during Sunday School. Thank you!

Hymn Sing

Our CCUMC custom is to do a hymn sing each week during the summer. To help Stacy Robinson out as he plays for worship during AnnaMaria's summer sabbatical, we will go out the hymn sing a bit differently. In the bulletin for the next three weeks, there will be a small insert on which worshipers can note three hymns, from either The United Methodist Hymnal or The Faith We Sing, that they would enjoy singing. These inserts can be returned in the offering plate. We will select the hymns from these suggestions. People will be asked to include their name on their list to make sure we have a well-rounded and fair choice of hymns.

Mid-Week Prayer Circle

Wednesdays, 10:00 AM

Refocus and recharge each week by gathering in the Chapel for a time of quiet, contemplative prayer.

The Youth Group is planning several restaurant fundraisers in June! Join us for dinner out, to help raise funds for the Mission Trips. More information and specific dates will be available next week, but, for now, mark your calendars for Flippin Pizza on June 11.
