In town this weekend? If so, we invite you to celebrate the holiday weekend with us after worship for a hotdog lunch! A variety of hot dog flavors, from turkey to vegan to beef to vegetarian will be available. As always, anyone planning to attend is welcomed to bring a dessert. See you there!

Make a Difference

"Power Packs" & Donations"

The children's program will be assembling "Power Packs" on Sunday, June 2. The Power Pack program is organized by Food for Others, a local food bank, to help feed area children that receive most of their meals through school breakfast/lunch programs. "Power Packs" are Ziploc bags of food that are given to these children on Fridays. They contain two breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners to tide hungry kids through the weekend. With your generosity, Christ Crossman assembled 70 "Power Packs," or

nearly 200 pounds of food in March.

What do we need? Single serving meal donations, like single serving boxes of cereal and instant oatmeal, chili cups, mac and cheese cups (Velveeta or Kraft), tuna or chicken salad kits (Bumble Bee), cheese and cracker packs, or Chef Boyardee ravioli, spaghetti

and meat balls. Also, shelf stable milk (Horizon or Yohoo brands) and 100% juice boxes are also great additions.

Please bring your donations to the Prior Room this Sunday, May 26, or before service on Sunday, June 2. We will assemble these "Power Packs" during Sunday School on June 2. Thank you in advance!

Young Adult DCCK Service

Saturday, June 22

We're baking for DC Central Kitchen again! We'll spend the afternoon together, baking after school snacks for local kids. Check the weekly email for a list of what you can bring. Contact Ashley with questions or for more information.

Grace Offering

We are receiving a Grace Offering through this Sunday. Thank you for the love during the seasons of Lent and Eastertide. Your donations will be shared in three ways:

1. VA Conference Offering for Children: to support projects and ministries in Brazil, Cambodia, Mozambique, and Virginia. For more details on the projects, click here.

2. World Service Fund

3. CCUMC Youth Summer Mission Trips 2013 to West Virginia and the Bahamas.

Donations received at Sunday's All American Hotdog Bar lunch will be received as part of the Grace Offering.

Young Adult Lunch

Join us for our monthly Young Adult lunch! This month we're meeting at Dogwood Tavern (132 W. Broad Street). We'll get together after worship for good food, good fellowship, and a chance to celebrate the impending arrival of the babies Goodman.

Youth End-of-Year Celebration

Friday, June 7, time: TBA
We'll get together on a special night for one last hurrah. There will be pizza, ice cream, and a movie under the magnolia tree!

Adult Seekers
