Earth Day, Arbor Day

Earth Day is on Monday, April 22nd. I remember the first Earth Day back when I was in high school (I'm dating myself here) and how it blossomed the awareness of how much we depend upon Momma Earth. She provides our food, water, and air - our sustenance to the very core. So do something for your Momma Earth on April 22nd. It will add to the good vibrations for you and your loved ones. And then plant a tree on the 26th, which is Arbor Day. Earth Day Facts - Earth will travel 1.6 million miles in its annual journey around the Sun, the 4.6-billionth such round-trip. It will rotate about its axis exactly once.
- The population of the world will grow by 211,000 people.
- A new Akron, Ohio, will be added every day.
- 40,000 acres of land, an area about the size of Boise, Idaho, will be converted to desert.
- People will consume more than 3 billion gallons of oil.
- Between 20 and 500 species will disappear from the planet forever.
- 50,000 acres of forest will be eliminated.
