Turkey Tips
Today might be the day to start thawing your turkey in the refrigerator. Allow a full day for every 4 pounds of turkey being thawed.
Before roasting, coat the outside of the turkey with Extravagonzo Roasted Garlic Culinary Oil and season with sea salt and freshly ground pepper.
And, basting your turkey with the Roasted Garlic Oil adds a very nice, subtle touch, and a wonderful waft of delight from the oven! After the first hour, baste the turkey often using a basting brush to keep the meat moist and give the skin an even color. Be quick so that the oven temperature doesn't drop too much.
When it's done cooking and out of the oven, let the turkey rest, loosely tented with aluminum foil, for at least 30 minutes before carving so the juices can reabsorb. If the turkey is stuffed, remove the stuffing before carving.
