Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week is next week so get ready to show your love for our amazing teachers and staff at Meadows!!! Breakfast treats and coffee will be provided every morning and there will be a luncheon on Wednesday, May 4th for all the teachers and staff.

Shopping 4 Students
Bring your original receipts for the current school year through April 30,2016 to the Concierge Booth, (located in front of Macy's Men's and home). Your school earns five (5) points for every dollar spent at any store, (including Fry's, Ralph's and CVS), restaurant, eatery or vendor cart at Manhattan Village. Shopping for Students questions? Moms Night Out - Ticket Price Increase May 1st
Today and tomorrow are the last days to buy a reduced price ticket of $35 for Moms Night Out. May 1st they increase to $40. Moms can purchase online or bring the pink order form and check to the school office today! What a perfect Mother's Day gift to yourself!

Science Night - Friday, May 6th, 5-9pm
It's only 1 week away! Bring the flyer (from your Tuesday envelope) to Science Night, recycle it there, and be entered in a raffle for fantastic science prizes! The official "program & map" will be emailed next week. Here's a sneak peek of the night:
- 5-8pm: Local Workshops: UCLA Archeaology, Mrs. Michael's Weather Balloon Findings, Science Fair Projects, Roundhouse Aquarium Touch Tanks, UCode, Mira Costa Robotics, Composting, USC Sea Grant
- 5:30-6:15pm: Mad Science Show
- 6-8:30pm: Mad Science Workshops: Electricity, Magnets, Dry Ice, Air Pressure, Eco-Friendly demos, Chromatography
- 6:45-7:30pm: Animal Tracks Show
- 8-8:45pm: Animal Tracks Show (repeat)
- Food and drinks sold by Cub Scouts and Jamba Juice

The Hunt 2016
The Ultimate Scavenger Hunt and Games take place on Friday, August 26th! The Hunt is an opportunity for all incoming MBMS 6th Graders to meet their new classmates before the start of school. Participants will be placed on teams and asked to find/solve a series of clues and win challenges throughout the day. Registration fee covers DJ, bagels and juice, snack, lunch, T-shirt and goodie prize bag. Space is limited, and we can only take the first 240 students who register. We will have a sign-up table at MBMS 6th grade registration on May 2-3, 3:30 to 5:30pm. Online registration will be available for remaining spots after May 3. Please look for us on May 2-3 and register as soon as possible to reserve your child's spot!
