Father Daughter Dance is THIS FRIDAY!

Ready to boogie?! The groovy dance is this Friday, February 26th, 6:30-9:00pm, at the MBMS Multi-Purpose Room. Food will be provided by Johnny Rockets and awesome raffle prizes will be given out. Don't miss this fun night -- it's gonna be outa sight!
Help needed at Father Daughter Dance
We're looking for some outa-sight parent volunteers with good vibes to help set up, staff the dance, serve food, or tear down. Meadows school has Kicked-Off Jump Rope For Heart! Our Jump Rope For Heart event will take place the February 29th - March 4, 2016. Through this community service project our students learn about the importance of taking care of their hearts and how they can help kids with special hearts through making a donation to the American Heart Association.
Please help us by registering your child online:
- Just visit www.heart.org/jump to join our school's team
- Select CA and Manhattan Beach
- Select our school and join team
- Once you are registered you can personalize your webpage and click on the PUPPIFY ME button to create your child's puppy e-card with a special heart health message. Email this cute card to family and friends and they will be able to donate to your child's page.
- TOP THREE STUDENTS RAISING THE MOST ONLINE DONATIONS RECEIVE A PAIR OF CLIPPLER TICKETS AND THE HALFTIME TUNNEL EXPERIENCE-HIGH FIVE THE PLAYERS.
- Students from the 10 most western states raising 10 or more online donations will be entered into a drawing for an iPad!
- If Meadows reaches our goal of $6,500, Mr. Arnold's head gets SHAVED!
The American Heart Association is also here to help us all create healthier homes! Please explore the Jump Rope For Heart website for different ideas for building a heart healthy home, and you can also meet some of the children who are helped by your donations. Thank you for your support!

Mother & Son Night - Friday, March 18th
|
Game on! Moms, it's time to team up with your son for some friendly competition! Battle your friends in laser tag, maneuver through Mr. Arnold's obstacle courses, and play foosball and other games. It's all at Meadows from 5:00-7:30pm. Show your team spirit by wearing your favorite sports gear! There will be food and raffle prizes.
Tickets are $15 each or $40 per family (3 or more). Look for flyers in your Tuesday envelope. Or buy tickets on the Meadows website!

The Top Fundraisers from the Mustang Trot and their guests had lunch with Ms Whitt before break. Thank you to all who supported this great event; it was a record breaking year with donations of over $21000! Great job Mustangs!!

CYRM 4th & 5th Grade Challenge Update!
|

Meadow's fourth and fifth grade readers continue to rock the CYRM Reading Challenge. Twenty-seven readers have finished all three books!!! But, the clock is ticking. All books must be read and forms completed by Monday, March 28. Our voting lunch party is tentatively scheduled for March 30.

Collect Box Tops for Meadows!
10 Box Tops = 1 SKORR card
This school year we've raised $530 from the Box Tops for Education™ program. The next submission deadline is March 1st. Please send in your Box Tops ASAP so that we can make our annual $1,000 goal. Meadows earns 10¢ for each valid Box Top we collect! Simply buy products with the pink Box Tops on them (BTFE.com/products), clip the Box Tops, and send the Box Tops to school. Box Tops can be turned in by:
- Placing the clipped Box Tops or labeled baggie into the front office collection box or
- Completing a Box Tops submission form and returning it in a Tuesday envelope or into the front office collection box.
Don't toss them ...clip them and return them to Meadows.

Don't Drink the Punch: Answering the Big Questions
When: Tuesday, March 1st @ 7 pm
Where: Mira Costa Small Theater
This presentation for parents of middle and high school students is based on the Miles To Go Lessons in Drug Prevention Handbook Series. It will address ten of their most frequently asked questions, but parents with students of any age will find the information pertinent and useful.
