Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk
|
Way to rally, Meadows!!!
MANY MANY THANKS to everyone who supported the Skechers Pier to Pier Walk this past Sunday. Special thanks to those of you that battled the crowds and came down to walk. It was a blast and the kids had a great time!
Not only did we have fun, but we increased our donation by a whopping 65% bringing in total donations of $2,800! Last year, for every $25 registration or donation, Skechers donated over $150 --- that means Skechers will donate an additional ~$15K on our behalf towards MBEF and our schools!!!
Lastly, SKORR cards and run club laps will be awarded soon!
If you have any questions, please contact Cory Kingston, the Meadows Pier to Pier Walk coordinator.

Donate Halloween Candy to Stuff4Joy
|
Instead of throwing out your leftover candy, we have a chance to donate it to poor children in the Philippines - this is the only candy these children might get the whole year. Each child gets three or four pieces, making sure their teeth are not being harmed.
Every year Stuff4Joy.org partners with local Manhattan Beach schools to send over 250 pounds of leftover Halloween Candy. The candy is placed in bags with food being given to extremely poor children in shanty towns. Santa Claus hands out the bags and the kids will go crazy for everything you send.
So, if you have any leftover Halloween candy, and want to donate it, there will be a box in the office from 11/2-11/6.
Thanks so much for your help.
Happy Haunting!!!

Thank you to the families who have already donated to the MBEF Annual Appeal! If you have not had the opportunity to contribute, we look to you, our amazing Meadows families, to reach our goal of 100% participation this year. Your donation helps supplement inadequate state funding and pays for 71 educators in our District. MBEF is a community foundation, and in addition to providing critical school funding, advocates on behalf of parents for a well-rounded, hands-on education that sparks creativity and emboldens every student's enthusiasm for learning.
