It's Time for the PTA Membership Classroom Contest!
Thank you Meadows families for all of your support in our PTA Membership drive so far! We are so happy to be well on our way to meeting our membership participation and fundraising goals, and it's all because of our amazing Mustang families!

Today starts our Membership Classroom Contest: every classroom with 100% PTA membership participation by Friday, 10/16 earns $100 in extra classroom supplies for your child's teacher. Last year we had 96% of Meadows families join the PTA, and we'd like to hit the 100% mark this year! Please remember that every donation amount matters, and it all goes to support our teachers and kids every single day at school.

It's also not too late to become a Super Stang and pop that nifty magnet on the side of your car:
2. Pledge/Donate to MBEF
3. Fill out a Meadows Volunteer Form

Please contact Katie Driscoll & Becky McCalla at meadowsmembership@gmail.com if you have any questions.
ENTER TO WIN A $200 Gift Card to Arc Light Cinema!!
Don't forget to make every purchase count and complete your 5 Free Money For Meadows options!  Submit your completed raffle form to the dedicated box in the school office by October 16th for a chance to win!
Halloween Haunt - Friday, October 23rd, 5:00-8:30pm
It's baaaack... Meadows Halloween Haunt is a spooktacular night of rides, games, dancing, bake sale treats, popcorn, and our very own bootiful Haunted House! (Beware: real witches, zombies, and vampires "live" there.) Hennessey's will sell meals and drinks to fill our guts. Java Man will keep our skeletons warm with coffee and hot chocolate.

This is one of Meadows' biggest events and we'd go batty without our faboolous parent volunteers. Dads, we really need you for this one! Please sign up to help: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080e4eabab2da75-halloween

All children must wear a wristband to participate. Wristbands will be sold on Friday 10/23: 1:30-3:00 on the cafeteria patio and 5:00-8:30 at the gate. Price is $15 per child or $40 per family (adults & kids under 3 are free).
Family Portrait Fundraiser
Family Portrait sittings for the Meadows fundraiser just started this past weekend.  Appointments run through November, don't miss out on this very affordable way to get that awesome family portrait that you and your relatives will love for years!

Half of the $45 sitting fee (plus 15% of your order) goes to our school.  Book your appointment by calling JW Photography (310-640-7212) or mail the form directly back to them. Forms were in your child's Tues envelopes two weeks ago, extra forms are available in the office or click the link to download a copy. Questions?  email jjcorr1@yahoo.com

World Literacy Focus
Thanks to everyone who supported our World Literacy Foundation used book sale at Meadows Movie Night. This was a win/win event - our students bought some great books and we raised money to support reading for disadvantage children in our country and around the world. Mrs. Primm dropped off the remaining books for the Better World Books foundation. Thank you!!

Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk, October 25th
Come join your friends, neighbors and classmates at the SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk on Sunday, October 25th! Meadows has formed a team and we hope you'll join us to show your support, and have a great time!

Be sure to designate your contribution to MBEF so your registration fee will directly support OUR schools! If you can't participate, consider becoming a "virtual walker". Last year, for every $25 registration or donation, MBEF and our schools received over $150 from the SKECHERS Foundation - totaling $100,000. Let's top that this year!

Along the course you'll encounter celebrities from your kids' favorite television shows, drum lines, a costume contest, cheerleaders, and all sorts of fun! This is a great community event you don't want to miss. We hope to see you there!
