Valiente Charter School Book Drive
|
Meadows 5th Grade Girl Scouts are working towards earning their Bronze Award. They are excited about their project, which is helping to build a library for a new charter school in an underprivileged part of Los Angeles. It is their goal to collect as many new or gently used books as they can, and need your help to do so! They would appreciate your donations very much and will be placing collection bins at the Rowell drop off zone and at the front office. The book drive at Meadows will begin March 2nd and end March 13th. The girls will also be collecting books at Camp Expo on March 14th. Along with the book drive, the girls will have a lemonade stand at Camp Expo from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The kids at Valiente College Preparatory Charter School would love it if you could donate books! If you think about it, books are the reason we are smart so please donate your used and new books for kids and teens. Please contact ronda.ferguson@verizon.net if you need more information.

Amazon Smile is a program through Amazon where they donate 0.5% of the purchase price of all items to the charity of your choice (Meadows Elementary!). If you are a prime member your purchases are still eligible for prime just like before and you can use your existing Amazon account. Sounds easy! How do I sign up?...... - To shop you go to smile.amazon.com instead of amazon.com (and not the app).
- The first time you visit Amazon Smile you will need to select Meadows Elementary as your chosen charity (find us by searching Meadows Elementary and then select "Meadows Elementary PTA").
- Every time you shop remember to use smile.amazon.com NOT amazon.com.
Send this on to friends and family!
