MBEF - Why property taxes don't make the grade.

A mere 20% of Manhattan Beach property taxes reach our schools. To get around these shortfalls, some communities pass parcel taxes. Not Manhattan Beach. Instead, we rely on your tax-deductible donations. Help us maintain our scholastic standards with an MBEF donation today. Your gift makes all the difference.  Mbef.org/givetoday

Got Math? Parent Ed and PTA Meeting

Dr. Brett Geithman, Executive Director of Educational Services in our district, will be at Meadows next Thursday, January 22nd at 8:15 am in the Cafeteria to present some exciting things MBUSD is doing with math curriculum and Common Core. Some highlights will include the MBUSD partnership with UCLA Center X,  how the professional development plan improves our approach to math in the classroom and how this will help our kids as they progress through the grades.

We will have a short PTA meeting directly following Dr. Geithman's presentation. There are a lot of great things going on at school in the next couple of months; please stay and have a cup of coffee and a breakfast treat, thanks to continued support of the Corner Bakery and The Coffee Bean on Rosecrans.
