The Manhattan Beach Education Foundation (MBEF) will begin its Annual Appeal with today's Pledge Day. Thank you to all of the families that have already made their contribution, and let's see if Meadows can reach 100% participation this year!  Your generosity enables Meadows students to benefit from hands-on science, an open library, reading development, educational technology, physical education, music instruction and small class sizes.

Please consider participating in this important campaign by making a donation or pledge on Pledge Day. You may donate online at the MBEF website or pick up a form at one of the MBEF tables on campus tomorrow.

Thank you also for your amazing support of our PTA during our recent membership drive!  MBEF and the Meadows PTA work hand in hand with our district to provide a high-quality education for our children. If you are new to the district or wondering why we have both MBEF and PTA fundraising drives in the Fall, the short answer is that PTA funds "things" on our campuses and MBEF funds "people" (people's salaries). The attached flyer details how these two  non-profit organizations help all of us create an outstanding education for our children.
