Attention Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade parents!

The science fair is in full swing- students have had their project ideas accepted, and are working hard on discovering more about the world around them. The only thing they need now are some adults to talk to about their findings! Are you interested in listening to them present?
Judging takes place on THURSDAY, APRIL 24th, from 3-5ish PM. No science background necessary- you will be given a rubric, and will listen to the students present the results from their projects. Previous judges have been blown away by the professionalism and creativity of the projects- it is definitely a great afternoon!
Want to do it, but can't- but your neighbor/colleague/child's grandparent is interested? Fantastic- we'll take them! Just e-mail Mrs. Michael at jmichael@mbusd.org, or stop by the science lab on Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday to let her know!
Thanks! See you April 24th!

Meadows' Troop 3605 and the Free Little Library
Meadows Junior Troop 3605 has been working on their Bronze award. Their contribution to the city of Manhattan Beach is the city's very own Free Little Library for children. The girls chose this project because they saw a need in the city for a library for kids since our city's library is under construction. They had a book drive, raised money from nut and magazine sales and paid for the FLL house and made bookmarks. Thanks to the City of Manhattan Beach especially Gina Allen and Colette Grubman for all their help and support. Our very own local bakery, Beckers, donated yummy treats for all to enjoy.
