On behalf of the Meadows PTA, we want to thank ALL of our PTA members and donors. Our Membership Drive is the first critical step in our year-long fundraising efforts, and your generous donations certainly helped support the $405 we spend on each student per year. Also: don't forget to come out TONIGHT at 6:30pm to a very special PTA Meeting, Book Fair and Bingo Extravaganza for the kids! Carolyn Seaton, the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Manhattan Beach, will share the new direction  that California's Common Core Standards are taking our educators, parents, and students.  The biggest shift in educational philosophy and practice is on our door step and presents an exciting opportunity to better prepare our students for the 21st Century and success beyond K-12 education. Join us at 6:30 pm on November 13th in Room 21 for a thoughtful presentation and discussion of what the new standards contain, how testing will be different, and the steps MBUSD and Meadows are taking to implement this exciting change.  Our general PTA meeting will follow.  We will also host bingo in Music Room 22 for the kids, and the library will be open for evening hours of our Book Fair.  Definitely a night you do not want to miss!  See you there!
