Today's librarians are truly the gateway to knowledge, on the internet as well as on the book shelves. Never have there been so many ways for a child to learn, explore and grow. Unfortunately, a vast number of California schools no longer have them. Ours do, thanks to your donations to MBEF. Mbef.org/Givetoday

Running Club Update - Congratulations to our Marathon Runners!

We had a great week at Running Club last week!  88 students came out to run, completing 1494 laps (with a little help from a surprise Double Lap Day).  We had three students complete the first marathons of the year: Zachary Chien, Malcolm Cutler and Christian Penczar!! Way to go runners!

Don't forget to sign up for the Sketchers Pier to Pier Walk that is going on this weekend!  All students that join "Team Meadows" and walk will receive 17 laps credit for Meadows Running Club.

See you on the field!
Volunteers Still Needed

If you are able to help out with either the Halloween Haunt or Mustang Trot, we are still in need of some helping hands.  See below for details on how to sign up.  Thanks in advance!

HALLOWEEN HAUNT - OCTOBER 25
We really want to ensure all goes smooth and having adults to help with the rides is really important.  We also need volunteers to help create the Halloween Haunted House (a great way to help out if you're handy with a hammer) and to help with tear down and clean up at the end of the night.  Shifts range from 1-2 hours. Please click on the link below to sign up and volunteer an hour of your time that night if you are able.

MUSTANG TROT
In addition to lots of hands on deck for the actual event, help is needed behind the scenes.  Skills range from mail merge wizards to small event planning/logistics.  Timing takes place a few weeks prior to the event to a few months after the event ends.

Thank you for helping to make these memorable and fun events for our children!

It's easy to earn money for Meadows!  All you have to do is clip out Box Tops for Education!

There is a large collection box in the front office and also in your child's classroom.  Every Box Top counts!  If we all get in the habit of clipping out the Box Tops, we could literally earn thousands of dollars for our school! If you have any questions, please call Teresa Hymowitz 310-990-7665
