These things aren't "extras" -- they're an essential part of the excellent education Meadows provides. Thank you to everyone who has stepped up so far! Now it's time for the remaining 50% to jump on board. It's critical that every family at Meadows participates in the PTA--at whatever level is right for your family. LIFE IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES...Due Friday!!! | | |
 You never know what you're going to get. But with the Innisbrook Fundraiser, we know what to expect: Wonderful Helen Grace chocolates, quality gift wrap, magazines, great holiday/birthday gifts and more. We also know we'll raise much-needed money to help support the Meadows community. In addition, your child can earn some fun prizes! Don't forget to participate and turn your materials into the office no later than this Friday, September 27. For questions, please contact MeadowsInnisbrook@gmail.com.

| Movie Night, 9/27! Gates open at 5:30, Movie starts at 7:00 | | 
Come on down to the lower field this Friday to watch Wreck-it Ralph with your fellow Mustangs. Don't forget to bring beach chairs and blankets as well as some pocket change for baked goodies (thank you, Fourth Graders!), cold drinks (thank you, Cub Scouts!), popcorn (thank you, Student Council!), hot coffee/hot cocoa (thank you, JAVA man!). Food plates will only be available to those who preordered by last Fridays deadline. No plates will be sold at Movie Night. Teacher Experience raffle tickets will also be available for purchase at Movie Night. Winners will be announced on Monday, 9/30. Hope to see you there!

| Work-room Orientation for Volunteers - Thursday! | |  Lamintor! Die-cutter! Copy machine! Learn to conquer them all at our new volunteer work-room orientation. This half-hour session will provide volunteers at Meadows with a quick overview of the PTA work-room and a brief introduction to using the various equipment. Any and all volunteers are welcome but not required; no RSVP's needed. Thursday, September 26 at 8:15 in the work-room next to the main office. | Programs in Jeopardy!!! | | 
We are in need of someone to chair our green efforts at Meadows. This is such an important responsibility to teach our children. The tasks are easily divided into smaller pieces so that the time commitment is not large. We need someone for:
- Trash Free lunch - coordinating people for one day per week or more
- Walk to School Wednesday
- Advisor to 4th grade youth board
- Meadows Garden
Please contact Emily Macias (emilymacias8@gmail.com) if you can take on any part of these important roles at Meadows. Feel free to grab a friend and volunteer together. Let's inspire and empower our students to make a difference for the environment!! |
| Family Portraits are Back! | |  You know that family portrait on the beach that you've been wanting to take? Wait no longer. Schedule your family portrait for the beach, under the pier or at the park through the Family Portait Fundraiser and donate to the PTA at the same time! The timing is perfect for your Christmas cards too! Sitting dates run 9/28-11/10. A portion of the sitting fee as well as your photo order will be given back to the school. Book quickly as sitting times go quick. Look for complete information in your Tuesday envelope. Appointments under the MB pier have all been taken. Please make sure to mail your checks to secure your appointment directly to the photography studio, or you can call or email with a credit card. Appointments are not set until payment is received.
