Hi Mustangs! A few reminders as your're preparing for the first day of school tomorrow.  Welcome back!

If you have trouble viewing this email, read online at www.meadowsschool.org
Hooray for our Amazing Platinum and Gold PTA Donors!
Thank you to all the families who have already joined and donated to the Meadows PTA! An especially BIG THANKS to our latest Platinum Donors -- the Gerken family, the Hory family, the Hunter family, and the Macias family! Our recent Gold Donors deserve a big shout out, too -- thanks to the Bayiz, Becker, Carey, Chien, Cohen, Corzine, Dickinson, El Faye, Frankel, Gilmer, Halkias, Hankus-Biggs, Hurok, Inoue, Kamachee, Kaplan, Lam, Mayer, O'Hara, Schlehuber, Skolarus, Stuart, Tucker, and Yokoyama families. The PTA is vital to our school's success and we cannot support our classrooms and kids without your help! If you have yet to join and donate, please do so today. Every amount helps our kids! Click here to print the form, or join online! Questions? Contact Carrie Gilmer and Jeanne Mayer at meadowsmembership@gmail.com
Our Super Stangs ROCK!

Super Stang families go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to supporting Meadows! In return, they get a cool Super Stang car magnet, their names posted on our snazzy charts at school, and they're entered to win an iPad mini!

To become a Super Stang, simply...

We will be posting new Super Stang family names every week...keep an eye out for yours (but please be patient if we don't get it up right away)! Questions? Contact Carrie Gilmer at Jeanne Mayer at meadowsmembership@gmail.com
WHEN LOWER NUMBERS MATTER

Thanks to parent donations to MBEF, elementary classes in grades K-3 average just 24 kids. Compare that to most California schools. Some have as many as 45. Please ensure small classes next year by giving to the Annual Appeal. Take advantage of monthly installments. Mbef.org/givetoday.

For K through 2 Mustangs and Their Dads: Adventure Guides 2013-14

adventure guides w/compass
Shouldn't their best memories be with you? The Y Adventure Guides Voyagers program is for dads and their children in Kindergarten through 2nd grades. Dad/daughter or dad/son pairs join a larger group for activities, community service, and campouts. Highlights include local traditions like the Hometown Fair Sponge Toss, Adopt a Family, a campout in Yucaipa, and a campout on Catalina. The program provides plenty of time to bond with kids and make new friends (kids and parents!) in the community.

Orientation and Recruitment Night Serving Hermosa and Manhattan Beach Areas:
September 23rd at 7pm at American Martyrs O'Donnell Hall (15th & Laurel in MB)
