Earth Day is Monday!
Students are encouraged to walk to school on Monday, April 22nd. Meadows students, along with other students in Manhattan Beach, will walk to school in solidarity to reduce gas emissions and to support Earth Day. The Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts are invited to hand out cotton bracelets. Also, wear your craziest and most colorful socks or green T-shirts today to show everyone that you care about our earth and that you Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Re-purpose everyday. |
Parents, please show your City Council how much you value the MB Schools!
There is a joint meeting of the Manhattan Beach City Council and the MBUSD to discuss the proposed facilities use agreement. This agreement would guarantee that the school district receives fair market value for the use of their land and facilities. It would help the MBUSD budget by about $500,000/year. The City Council, who is very supportive of the schools, needs to see that their community is supportive as well. The more happy parents they see in support, the more likely we are to see the agreement get signed. This is the only item on the agenda so it is not a huge time commitment. Please plan to attend on Monday, April 22nd at 6pm at the Joslyn Center. Thanks Mustangs! |
SCRIP Table Today!
Stop by the SCRIP table today while you are checking out the volunteer fair. We'll be there from 2pm to 3pm today! Any questions, contact Alissa at MeadowsScrip@gmail.com. |
Manhattan Village - Shopping for Students
This is our final two weeks to collect receipts! Please collect all your receipts from September until April 30th of any shops from Manhattan Village Mall - including that cup of coffee you got for $1.95! All receipts logged in this month are double points which equates to more money for our PTA!!!! There is a collection box in the front office or you could bring them to the concierge in the mall next to Islands. If you drop them off at the mall, make sure you tell them you're "checking in" for Meadows and automatically receive 100 bonus points for our school. If you have any questions, please email Theresa at poohster68@gmail.com
