2012 Mustang Trot ... 2.0!! - You can't keep a good TROT down!
Thank you, Meadows families, for your patience with last week's postponement of the Mustang Trot. We have put "Plan B" into effect, and we are ready to run the Trot, as you know and love it, on Friday, Dec. 14.
Pledges - If you already turned in a pledge form, THANK YOU! With a few extra weeks before the Trot, there's still time to get more pledges in. Any student who turns in a pledge form-for the first time, or in addition to other pledges already turned in-will get extra entries for raffle prizes drawn on Trot Day. And remember, you can still get bonus raffle entries for donations made online at www.meadowsschool.org (5 raffle entries for every online donation of $25 or more).
Volunteers - If you were signed up to help with the Mustang Trot last Friday-as a lap counter, classroom coordinator, or Trot set-up helper-your volunteer assignment will stay as-is. If you are no longer available to volunteer at the Trot on Dec. 14, please email us at Mustang.Trot@yahoo.com.

Meadows' Cub Scout Pack 275 - Soldiers' Angels and Scouting for Food
Help Meadows' Cub Scout Pack 275 pay it forward by donating to Soldiers' Angels, an organization that collects and sends toiletries, clothing and calling cards for the hundreds of wounded American soldiers at Landstuhl Medical Center in Germany. We will be collecting at the PTA meeting on Wednesday evening. Don't forget to stop by and have your kids make a card for the soldiers, too! Money donations will be used to purchase Scrip to buy supplies. In addition to money donations, you can also help by donating other items - hotel/travel-size toiletry items, playing cards, "current" magazines, gum, granola, mints, non-chocolate candy, underwear, socks, t-shirts, sunscreen & phone cards. Your donations will be appreciated. THANK YOU!!!
Also - there will be a box outside of the front office for our Scouting for Food campaign. The Scouts are in the middle of their annual non-perishable food collection. If you received a door hanger on your door this past Saturday, don't forget to put out your donation on this Saturday morning, November 17th. The scouts will be collecting that morning and driving it to a local food pantry. If you live in a neighborhood that the scouts did not cover and did not receive a door hanger, you can still help. Please place your non-perishable food items in the box by the front office by Friday afternoon.
