LAST DAY OF MBEF PLEDGE WEEK!

Let's finish strong Meadows! Today is the last day to to make your pledge during MBEF Pledge Week. As a special bonus, any class that has reached 75% participation by the end of today will receive a pizza party! Mrs. Yates class is looking like a clear favorite, can anyone catch her? Check your class here.

 

Look for the MBEF table at the book fair from 7:50-9:00AM and 2:00-3:00PM. Come celebrate our collective success with yard signs, bracelets, and Twirly propellers. Haven't pledged yet? You can do it right now online by clicking

here, or we'll have envelopes at the table.

Mustang Trot Postponed!

We regret to inform you that we have decided to postpone the Mustang Trot due to weather. Having over 400 kids running on wet, muddy grass would be messy at best, and at worst, could result in slips, falls, and injuries. We are currently working on "Plan B", which will likely be the same Mustang Trot we all know and love, but on a new date. It remains to be seen if that will be in the immediate future, or further down the road, possibly even in the spring. For now, we are certain that it will not happen before Thanksgiving.

So...... What will you do with those two hours now?!? Please come up to the Book Fair in the Library tomorrow morning after drop-off. (It opens at 7:45am!!)

Hocus Pocus....Poof!  The Book Fair is Open!!

 

The Book Fair is officially open! Today's hours begin at 7:45am (Yes - before dropoff!).  We have hundreds of books available- there is something for everyone. Please check for hours on the Meadows website.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid readers, you will be happy to know that we will be selling the long awaited Book 7 on its official release date, 11/13. Hurry on over to the library for your copy.  See you there!
 
A Magical Night at Meadows - Wednesday, Nov 14th

   

This Wednesday, November 14th -- a Magical night you won't want to miss at Meadows!

The Book Fair will be open 5:30 - 8:00 in the Library with an amazing balloon artist from 6-8.  This will be the only evening the book fair is open so come one, come all!

Attend the PTA Meeting to hear about the happenings at Meadows - 6:30 in Room 21.  There will be a special flag ceremony and presentation by the Cub Scouts.  Make Holiday Cards for the Troops with the Cub Scouts in the Computer Lab.  
FREE Pizza starting at 6:15 (while supplies last) outside the Library.

Visit the SCRIP table today...."Knead the Dough" is back!

 

bagelsManhattan Bread and Bagels "Knead the Dough" fundraiser for the schools is underway! Stop by the SCRIP table to buy a $100 card that gives us 20% back! Plus, there are prizes for the schools that sell the most cards. Let's take advantage of this generous fundraiser!
Also - the SCRIP table will be outside the library today, rather than the usual place outside the cafeteria, so that you can stop by the Book Fair, too!
 
INNISBROOK ORDERS ARE COMING!

 

Please note that Innisbrook orders are being delivered on Tuesday, November 13. Orders will be placed outside of the classrooms. Be sure to pick them up. If for some reason your child is not at school that day, please contact MeadowsInnisbrook@gmail.com to arrange a pick up of your items. Thanks to everyone for making this fundraiser such a big success. 
 
Still have leftover Halloween candy?  Some children in New Jersey don't!

 

After Hurricane Sandy forced the cancellation of Halloween all along the East coast, one of our students, Sofia, was concerned and sad for all her friends at Shrewsbury Borough school in New Jersey where she used to live. No school for the last 10 days, no power, no heat and, of course, no trick or treating.  She decided to donate all of her candy to the school and even to collect some more. You're invited to join her in her efforts and keep the holiday spirit alive!!!

A collection box is available in front of the office until later this afternoon and Sofia will have a stand in front of the cafeteria.

Be sure that the candy that your child turns in is in its original wrapper. Thank you.  LET'S DO THIS, MUSTANGS!
