Canadian Journal of EE : Call for Papers
The Canadian Journal of Environmental Education: Call for Papers for Volume 21, 2016: Emotions and Environmental Education.
Some of Volume 21 will be dedicated to the theme of "Emotions and Environmental Education." Fear. Shame. Guilt. Despair. Apathy. Disgust. Frustration. Wonder. Compassion. Empathy. Desire. Joy. Love. Hope. We will be accepting submissions for Volume 21 of the Canadian Journal of Environmental Education (CJEE) on our online manuscript management system until November 1, 2015.

Apply for the 2015 Leadership Clinic by July 17th!
You still have 4 weeks to submit your application for the 2015 Leadership Clinic (November 16 to 19). We've received a few applications and it is exciting to see the goals and aspirations that we help make a reality. If you are a school, non-profit, government or organization that has a goal around energy or environmental education and you need some dedicated planning time that includes professional learning, then submit your application by July 17th. All you need for your application is a team of 3 to 4 people and a goal that you want to achieve - it could be a new high school course on sustainability, energy or environment; delivering on the cross-curricular competencies using energy or environmental education; or a community action project. Your time at the Leadership Clinic will help you create a plan to deliver on your goal!

Helping Teachers Enhance EE In The Classroom
Engaging teachers in great learning opportunities regarding environmental topics or programs is a great way to help them offer environmental education in their classrooms. Now is the time to submit proposals for ATA Conventions and some of the Specialist Councils to help teachers enhance their environmental education teaching practices. Don't miss out on this opportunity - the more workshops offered increases students opportunities to engage in environmental stewardship. Developing an Energy Education Program (Elementary)
Want to develop a school program on energy? Let's Talk Energy will be hosting a Google Hangout on June 25th at 1:00 pm EST and will give you a behind the scenes view of program development, and the opportunity to be an active participant. During this workshop, participants will look at some provincial science curriculum, and design demonstrations and activity stations that will eventually become a full school program related to energy for elementary school students.

2015 ParticipACTION Report Card on Physical Activity
ParticipACTION is pleased to present the ParticipACTION Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth. The ParticipACTION Report Card provides a comprehensive assessment of the current status of physical activity for children and youth in Canada.
For the first time, the Report Card takes a stand on play in nature and the outdoors-with its risks-and includes a Position Statement on Active Outdoor Play. The statement was developed by the Healthy Active Living and Obesity Research Group at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute (HALO-CHEO), ParticipACTION and a group of 12 other organizations, and was supported by over 1,600 stakeholders from across Canada and around the world.

Forest School Educator Workshop Series
Come learn about the Forest School ethos and view documentation and project based work of children aged 3-6 years focusing
on their connections and ongoing investigations in a nature space.
Workshops will also include focus on an aspect of the Forest School ethos, hands-on natural materials and art exploration for participants, and a seasonal cookout. This is a 3-part educator workshop series, taking place across two Common Digs Forest School sites in both an urban and rural setting.
