CWF Launches Wild Pedagogies

    

The Canadian Wildlife Federation is proud to be launching Wild Pedagogies. This one of a kind experiential learning program blends graduate level studies in education from top university professors Mary Breuing, Carrie Nowlan, Bob Henderson and Pat Maher with travel on the landscape. Each program is $1500, including food, programming and outfitting.

We are now accepting applications for the 2015 Cenovus Energy Environmental Education Leadership Clinic! 

If your organization or school delivers on energy and/or environmental education,we encourage you to apply for this year's leadership clinic. This four day, fully funded professional development opportunity will explore the intersection between energy and the environment, imperatives of new curriculum directions, and increasing both environmental and energy literacy. You will have opportunities to explore what this means for your organizations's work and how you can enhance both areas in your program or practices. The deadline to apply is July 17.

Use Your Power For Change: Earth Hour is March 28th


Earth Hour is a global lights-off event to raise awareness about climate change. Taking part is easy! Individuals, businesses and governments around the world are asked to turn off their lights for one hour on Saturday, March 28th, from 8:30-9:30 pm local time in support of urgent action on climate change.

Wildlife Week in Canada is a week-long celebration of wildlife and habitat, honouring the work of the late Jack Miner and celebrated every year during the first full week of April.

Joy in Nature Contest: Deadline to Apply is March 27th

 

 
Are you part of a group (school, youth group or club) of youth between the ages of 13-19? Do you live in Alberta? Share what your group has done to spend time in nature by submitting a description and photo, and you could win a trip a trip to Jasper to explore and learn for two full days! Applicants must be able to travel to Jasper in June 2015. The deadline to apply for the contest is March 27th.
