Operation Grassland is going on the road with their short film - Conservation Caravan. They will be Calgary on April 8 and Lethbridge on April 15.   

The virtual road-trip takes the viewer to five different ranches all with common goals: economic stability, vital communities, and a healthy environment with sustainable wildlife populations.

Project WET - Facilitators Workshop  

 

Project WET is an interdisciplinary water education program that will help you develop effective water education programs to bring to local schools.

 

Attend the session so you can facilitate your own Project WET workshops.

Highway Wilding - Speak Up!   

    

Highway Wilding is a documentary for teachers, non-profits, transportation planners, and people like you who are interested in getting wildlife across highways safely. If you haven't seen the film yet, view it here

Miistakis Institute would like to catalyze the conversation about how we can all work together to protect the lives of wildlife and people in Canada, the USA and beyond by designing and building highways with both wildlife and people in mind. They are asking you to record a video clip. Learn more here. 
 
Kids: Tell your YYC Flood Story

  

Calgarians 12 and under are invited to submit a 2013 flood related drawing or photo by Friday, April 4. It can be a photo you took last year or a drawing you make today.

 

All artwork will be unveiled by Mayor Naheed Nenshi in the Municipal Building on June 20th and displayed at various locations throughout the city and online. Click here to learn more
