Graduate Program - Education for the Environment and Outdoor Education

The MEd Interdiscplinary program at the University of Calgary is offering two programs of interest to environmental educators. You do not need a BEd to apply to these programs.
  • Education for the Environment - This program of study is designed for educators who wish to build experiential and foundational depth in environmental education by developing new understanding, caring and concern for the ways human beings are connected to and impact the natural world.
  • Outdoor Education -  This program aims to provide professionals (in practice fields such as education, kinesiology, recreation, environmental programs, outdoor organizations, etc) with the necessary knowledge, skills and experiences for them to initiate and develop Outdoor Programs successfully in their respective settings.

Application deadline for both programs is March 15 with the program beginning Summer of 2013.
