ENMAX Energy Challenge     

Using photography, students show how they are contributing locally or globally to a brighter energy future. The contest runs from October 24th to December 24th. The first place entry wins a set of solar panels for their school!

For every submission received, ENMAX will donate $1 to Free The Children's Adopt a Village Program.

Energy Summit for High School Students   

Generate 2013 is presented by Inside Education and takes place March 14-17 in Kananaskis. This is a dynamic education summit for students and their teachers that will provide 80 high school students and 40 teachers with a unique opportunity to learn, share and advance energy literacy in Alberta.

EcoVision Club in Lacombe Completes Greenhouse

Survey - Young Environmental Movers and Shakers   

A researcher at James Cook University in Australia is looking for youth age 16-18 who are actively using social media to communicate about environmental issues.

They are being asked to fill out a 20 minute survey. This survey is being used to help identify 30 young environmental activists from around the world who will be asked to participate in a 6 month ethnographic study focused on how they use social media to communicate about the issues that matter most to them.

Wolverine Watch Citizen Science

Wolverine Watch is a citizen science based approach to: contribute information on wolverine in the Canadian Rockies, increase awareness regarding their status, and recruit volunteers to assist with a large-scale wolverine survey during winter 2010-2011 and 2012-2013.
